Albert Park's period homes, established gardens and close connection to the bay give the suburb a distinctive landscape character. Front and rear gardens often sit close to the house and street, making material choice and planting detail especially important. The right layout should feel purposeful without being overworked, complementing the home and providing a garden that is enjoyable every day.
Our Albert Park project takes a natural-material approach. Large boulders create a focal point and introduce a strong sense of texture, while gravel brings a warm, permeable surface through the open garden area. Structured planting around the stone softens the finish and helps the garden read as a cohesive landscape rather than a collection of separate elements.
For gardens close to the bay, site conditions matter. Wind, sun exposure and the amount of space around existing trees or buildings all influence the planting palette and garden-bed preparation. We plan the construction and planting together so drainage, soil levels, stone placement and plant spacing support the garden from the start.
